What you get
A Doubao account without a subscription: the free tier is permanent and covers ordinary questions, writing and light image generation, and you add a paid tier yourself. The main value here is that registration is already done — it normally requires a Chinese phone number. Look at who the login is bound to and the traces of use; the marketplace guarantee covers sign-in and working access at the moment of delivery.
About the service
Doubao (豆包) is ByteDance's Chinese AI assistant: chat, answer-style search, work with documents and spreadsheets, image and video generation, voice and video calls with the assistant, transcription and meeting notes. The service was entirely free until late June 2026, when ByteDance switched on paid subscriptions on 24 June, built on the Doubao 2.1 model series while keeping the basic features permanently free. The paid tiers do not unlock hidden features so much as raise the ceilings on the most compute-heavy modes: office tasks, expert mode, AI-PPT and AI spreadsheets, deep research, calls and recording transcription. The interface and support are China-first, and sign-in has historically been tied to a Chinese phone number or a Douyin account.
