What you get
A Devin top-up pays for agent work as it happens: usage is measured by how much the session actually did, so a long task with test runs and several iterations costs more than a small bug fix. Check whose account is funded — on your own you connect the repositories yourself and see what each task consumed. If you are instead given entry to the seller's workspace, your keys and repository rights end up in someone else's environment, and the marketplace guarantee does not cover that.
About the service
Cognition's autonomous AI software engineer: you hand it a task, it works in its own cloud environment with a browser, terminal and editor, pushes a branch and opens a pull request. It is designed for running several sessions in parallel on work that can be clearly specified in a ticket — migrations, bug fixes, routine refactoring. Its output still needs review, like any junior engineer's code.
